Normally with V4.2 running windows Vista64 home premium, when want to change connection, just right click on pot and select connection.
Then a β€Specify component pin connections’ window appears and just a simple case of selecting ADC channel.
There is a bug when right click on pot and select connection, no window appears.
Then if connection is clicked on, in the properties window, Flowcode crashes.

I've tried to replicate this but I can't. Are you able to make this problem happen by doing something specific, or does it just happen randomly?
Can you give some more info to help us replicate (and therefore solve) this issue?

It's just random im afriad. I will see if can make it crash after a certain pattern, and will post results.
Here is link to flowcode software I was using.

Re: Flowcode V4.2 Crashes sometimes when changing ADC properties
This occurs on a fairly regular basis, but only when right click on component on panel and select connections.
If the pin connection window appears, then all is well.
If the window does not appear, and then connections is selected on properties panel, that’s when access violation has occurred. It not restricted to vista. It also occurred with windows XP.
It is not restricted to just ADC, can be any component.
Error occoured today after adding a LCD to an previously saved and reopened. flowcode.

I still cannot replicate this. Can you please send me one of your Flowcode files and I will try to replicate the problem with that.

Re: Flowcode V4.2 Crashes sometimes when changing ADC proper
Its been a while but I would thought I would update this thread.
This bug has manifested its way to dsPIC as well as the latest update of PIC version.
It does not appear to be related to the flowchart, It can happen with any. E.g I loaded the PID example be created, and it happened with that.
I know when it is going to crash, so can get round the issue very easily.
I have found that sometimes when you right click a component on panel the right context menu does not appear when bug is present.
At that point, it is only when you click on any of the three dots on the properties window (as an alternative to use right click menu to change component connections) Flowcode crashes.
It is not limited to ADC, it occurs with any type of component.
The work around is:
If you right click and menu does not appear, Start and stop the simulator, then right click context menu will appear.
I will see if there is a patten of when this bug occurs, and well let you know.
