Hi,
When opening historical programmes (written in FC 6 or FC7) with FC8, the port configuration for CAN module is automatically set to FC8 default (usually port e pins XX XX regardless of the actual device) and the original old port settings is lost. Is there anyway to recover or preserve the original programme port settings as the default is NEVER right?
Regards,
Chris

Re: Opening historical programmes in FC 8
Hi Chris,
We have documented the problem here.
https://www.matrixtsl.com/wiki/index.ph ... ting_to_V8
Basically any component that uses a CAL (SPI/I2C/UART etc) has been redone so that the properties of the CAL are inherited rather than copied back and forth. This significantly cuts down on the amount of bugs and things that could potentially go wrong as well as enables us to do some rather cool things but unfortunately it looses the connections from previous versions.
