flowcode V7.2

Post by Steve001 »

What system requirements are required for v7.2 ?

My trusty old laptop doesn't like it Compaq Presario CQ61 4 gig ram when I open flow code with nothing else running only background stuff it struggles and has a very high cpu usage (98% +)
Run 7.1.1 ok

Hi Steve,

It's shouldn't be too different from version 7.1 in terms of system requirements. Does it always use 98% even when starting with a new project or is it only when opening specific files that it goes this high?

Maybe linked with a specific component or something else specific to a project?

Hi Steve,

it really shouldn't take that long so I think something is interfering. Have you tried running the PC in safe mode and trying Flowcode?

If you suspect the welcome page is taking a while, there could be something in your IE settings that is preventing the download of information from our website.

Steve.

Do you need an excuse :D If so then yes sounds like an excuse to me

Would be nice to keep it handy for now though so we can try and work out what's going wrong. Out of interest what version of Windows are you running.

Hi Steve001

Replacing your Hard Disc with a solid state One ( SSD ) should make your Laptop about
10x faster , i use Flowcode 7.2 on an old Core2 duo with 2gb of ram but have an SSD
installed windows 8.1 32bit , Flowcode 7.2 runs perfectly and takes about 20 to 25 Seconds
to open a 900kb FCFX file .
