Bonjour,
Merci a tous,
Chris

Re: Chip FT232RL USB?
Bonjour Chris ,
Hello Chris,
I might be getting the wrong end of the stick but isn't a FT232RL a USB to Serial converter so you can connect the FTDI serial pins to the RX and TX pins on your microcontroller and use the RS232 component to communicate.
If you want to get rid of the FTDI chip then the 18F2550 can connect directly to the USB and be used with components such as USB Slave, USB Serial or USB HID depending on which USB class you wish to use.
