Since updating with 8.1 the project options window is opening like this:

Every time I have to keep expanding it, so I can click on OK or Cancel.

Hi Martin,

Are you using non-standard DPI settings in your windows display settings?

Thanks

Daniel

Hi QMESAR,

Sorry about this. Could I just check what resolution your display is running at?

Also, are you using standard DPI settings like Martin?

I was aware of this bug but so far have only encountered it on 125% DPI or above.

Thanks,

Daniel

Hmm from memory, works pc reports 125 as the default settings and not 100%
At 100% icons are way too big.

Hi I am having this problem as well.

Mine is a little different. When I open the dialog it flashes up for a fraction of a second then gets hidden behind the normal fc background. I have to click blindly then it pops up without the ok / cancel. I thin have to resize the window then they pop in..

I am at 4k. medium 125% win7pro

Hi Chad,
I too experienced that.
What I did as a temporary measure was to reduce the main Flowcode screen area, so I have desktop space visible, then dragged the settings window on the desktop.
After rebooting PC issue of disappearing was gone hence not reported it.

Very odd,
Now ran Flowcode again and loaded a project.
As soon as project is loaded, the main window is not visible at all!
Although I have the laptop screen and two other monitors, first thing I did this morning was to rearrange the order of displays.
Flowcode has not crashed as the icon is still on the task bar.
The only way of resolving this was to close Flowcode then delete

Code: Select all

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MatrixTSL\FlowcodeV8

A similar problem with the find dialog:
find1.png
(6.39 KiB) Downloaded 1869 times
find2.png
(8.47 KiB) Downloaded 1869 times
For the 'find in icons' - the icons are 'hidden' unless you hover the mouse over them...

Doesn't work in light or dark

Hi QMESAR. Often when changing DPI settings in windows, things do not fully take effect until the PC is restarted. That might be why changing it to 100% still has problems.

Sorry about this Chad. I suspect that this is two simultaneous bugs: 1) the DPI issue that the others are experiencing and 2) the window not initially drawing itself correctly, with your click triggering a refresh. I'm investigating both of these issues asap and I'm sorry for the annoyance.

This is odd. The logic for window placement hasn't been touched at all recently, to my recollection. I'll get onto this now. Please let me know if it happens again. It could be that Flowcode was loading onto the a monitor position that no longer exists. So while it was visible, it was being displayed on a "phantom monitor".

Thanks all.

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

In another post I have mentioned other rendering bugs and glitches here is a little of that, might have something to do with this problem:
I have three monitors.
Main monitor is 4k driven by a nvidia gtx1080. Driver : current as of today. It is not a g-sync so I am locked at 60hz.
The wing monitors are both 1080p driven by a nvidia gtx 770ti.
Windows 7 pro
AMD ryzen 7 1800 8 core.
16gb ram.

I have been running in software opengl because with hardware opengl when the program opens and exits it resets my other monitors.
I have the same results in either case. On my machine if I just launch the program and am at the start page if I resize the window everything in the startpage tab flicker and strobe on every mouse movement. It looks like the dark skin is fighting with the white background. None of this is really a big deal. It's just, ineloquent. I don't notice graphics glitches with any other of my software, why I mentioned it. I could just be an edge case.
