So the pic32MX arrived today and I was about to set up everything in order to TEST something that maybe is working with this pic (ssd1963) and I noticed that I have to pay 60 pounds for a licence that I do not know if it even going to work... for what I want and it is supposed to work from flow code.....
I would advise that when you sell something of a decent amount of money that it is supposed to be tested and working and someones pay especially for professional licenses at least give some support in reasonable times.....and the trust to buy more...
Anyway still waiting for a reply if it is working with pic33 or pic18....lets see

p.s. Please don't misunderstand my frustration I am a professional and I pay for a tool that is supposed to do A, B, C and it doesn't but even if it is my error at least give decent support.10 days since the problem appeared and only one response from Benj after 1 week...

As I offered with another display - if you supply me with the hardware - I'll try and get something working.

As it's a commercial project then payment would be good.

I've 'done' a component for ST7789 so have some experience with displays.

PM if you are interested..

Martin

Thank you very much for your assistance...but I have already paid for software that it is supposed to do that plus I am on a very strict deadline here...does it make any sense for me to pay again or even invest an expensive screen for something that it should be working in the first place???
Anyway, I will wait a little more to see if there is any response otherwise I 'll have to change the whole concept!
thanks anyways much appreciated

No worries.

If you change your mind then PM - but hopefully Matrix can get things up and running for you.
I'd experiment - but without something to test on it's not an easy ask.

There are a lot of good screens that are easy to use and work with - so if you are needing to get something working quickly then the Nextion displays, for example, can get impressive results in a short time...

I haven't manage to get my hands on one of these displays so I'll get one purchased so we can investigate the problem for you.

Hello,

Running on an ECIO40P16 I have the following.

Aiming for this.

I get this.
LCD.jpg

so we are close. There seems to be an area after the initial half that's corrupted but then it's good again by the end. I'll investigate. That video you sent me looks like it's on the same track so hopefully will help a lot. Rewatching it now.

These are my component properties atm.

Yes the video showed me the way and I've now got the display fully working.

I've got the following connections to the display.

D0-D7
Reset
CS
RD
WR
RS
3V3
5V
GND

I'm just rolling the fix to v8 and then I'll push the fixes onto the update system for v8 and v9.

Many thanks for sending me the hardware. Do you need it returning or should I keep it handy in case we encounter any more problems?

I might have a quick go with the touchscreen while I've got it hooked up and see if I can get this working.

Here's a v9 program with a test pattern and then a touchscreen test.

Seems to be working ok but not brilliant. The touch is working but the coordinates aren't as perfect as I would like.

Hello,

Been thinking about this a bit and I might make an addition to the touch component to allow you to calibrate it and filter the input. That should hopefully help a lot with the accuracy of the touch.
