ECIO40P16 and Labview

Post by svislar »

Hi,
I would like to use ECIO40P16 as a slave to communicate with Labview, but I cant't put to work any of the examples that I found in this forum.
Would it be possible to post here a working example of labview VI and Flowcode 8?

Regards,
Janez

Hello Janez,

I don't have a copy of Labview installed at the moment but I would suggest you look at this wiki topic. It deals with creating comms systems and provides examples that should help.

The SCADA Slave example at the end should be really useful and show you how to implement the ECIO40P16 firmware using the USB slave component.

Once you have this it should be easy to create the Labview side of things that communicates via the USB COM port you have created.

Hello Ben,

Thanks!
In the meantime I actualy put my "slave" to work.
I had some problems since examples that I found are for old versions of FC.
I will also check the link that you sent.

Thanks,
Janez
