Correct chip for arduino with AT91SAM3X8E

Post by Tom Stefanou »

Hello support!

Just got my licenses for the amazing Flowcode 7 but I am not able to find an Arduino Due in the list.

This Due is the version having AT91SAM3X8E (ATSAM3X83) could you please provide some guidance?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Great news on getting the license.

However I'm afraid we currently only support the AVR based Arduino targets.

This is sad news... :(

What about the ARM license?

Does that one include a compatible chip or the chip itself?

Hi Tom,

The ARM chip pack has support for the STM32 devices and the AT91SAM7(S/X) devices.

The AT91SAM7 devices are now very old and will be very significantly different to the more modern AT91SAM3 devices so we would have to write a new CAL to support them and probably also bring in a new compiler. At the moment this device family is not on our to do list.

I too just ordered every module of software Matrix creates.
Please add me to the group that is waiting for Flowcode 7 to support the Arduino Due (ARM) board and chip-set.
