Newbie in Need of Help with ECIO 40p Project

Post by martyparish »

Hi,

First I must say that I'm really new to this but it's very interesting.

I'm an internet programmer right now but am very intent on learning micro controller fundamentals.

Here's what I have:

* EFIKA Micro-Motherboard (with Debian Linux installed)
* ECIO 40p
* Prototype circuit board
* 3 Pushbuttons(momentary)
* LEDs

Here's my project goal:

When a button is pressed, a designated LED(s) will light up and a certain audio file should be played via the Efika. The LED(s) should remain lit until the audio is done playing.

Fairly simple program I suppose...but not for a total newbie! I'm kinda lost on how to wire this up and even struggling on the Flowcode end of it.

I would really appreciate it f someone could take a few minutes to explain how I should proceed and maybe point me to some resources that I could use to learn more.

Sorry if the this is a really vague question.

Thanks in advance!

Hi again,

If anyone could point me at some basic wiring diagrams for the ECIO 40p that I could use to get started that would be great too.

Hello Marty

Ok for the getting started there is help at hand.

We have this available for getting started with Flowcode basics.
http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/lc_microcontroller.php

We also have this available for getting started with wiring up the ECIO to different circuits eg switches and LEDs.
http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/lc_USB_ ... course.php

Once you have these two items covered you should be a lot nearer to reaching your goal.
Let us know how your getting on and I will try and provide support should you get stuck along the way.
