ECIO 40 -EB018 Can Connection

Post by goldwingers »

Hi Guys,
Looking for some support after frying transceiver chips on my EB018 boards

I just need to know if my connections are correct, the two left side 9 pin sockets are on my ecio board ports B & C

Hi Ian

It looks OK to me (although EB018 circuit SDO is patch pin 1 not pin 5)
You will also need to connect the Chip Select (/CS) input pin

1) SDO
2) SDI
3) SCK
4) /INT
5) /CS

Your SPI SDO/SDI/SCK pins look correct for the ECIO40 hardware SPI.
You will need to connect the CS to any other port pin and set it as the property for the Chip Select pin on the Flowcode CAN component.
