Atmospheric Pressure Sensor

Post by JohnCrow »

Hi Ben

One thing Id like to see in FC7 sometime ( please :D ) is an I2C atmospheric pressure sensor, along the lines of the Bosch BMP 085
(Adafruit make a break out board for it.)
I've had one working on an Arduino using the Adafruit library, but not managed to get anywhere in FC yet.

It could even be a suitable addition to the sensor motherboard e-block

John,

Adafruit discontinued the BMP085 break-out. According to DigiKey the sensor itself is discontinued since 2013. Replacements seems to be BMP180 and/or BMP280.

I've got a BMP280 (break-out) laying around I need to create a component for, I'll try to find some time soon(ish).

Best regards,

Jac

Hi John, Jac

Thanks for the request!
A pressure sensor has been on the list of possible additional sensors for some time, but other work is currently taking priority.
Always useful to know what our customers are interested in :)

Thanks,
Leigh

I must have had that board for a while then. Anything along those lines would be great, I can soon pick up another sensor.
