mloader not a win32 application

Post by ChinnickMike »

Hi,
I installed the latest Flowcode 6, and now when I try to send prog to 16F877 it says that mloader is not a valid win32 application.
Can anyone help.

Before installing the new version, I renamed the flowcode 6 folder under program files.

Also after I installed the new version, the licence file does not get recognised after cutting and pasting from the origional renamed folder.

I am using Windows XP

Regards

Mike.

Hi Mike,

Sounds like things may have become a bit corrupted. Windows likes to keep track of installed files so something may have gone wrong when copying the older version.

Anyway I would advise you do the following.

1) Uninstall the current version of Flowcode.
2) Go to the Flowcode folder in program files and delete it to ensure all files get removed
3) Reinstall Flowcode
4) Use the Help -> Activate menu to retrieve your license using your Matrix username and password.

Hi,
thanks for replying, but still not running mLoader.

I uninstalled flow code 6, deleted the folder in program files.
Turned computer off, installed Flowcode 6 from web page.
Activated licence and tried sending a very simple led flashing prog to 16F887.
The program compiled but failed on running the mLoader, see below.

Building CASM file

success
.
Launching the programmer...
C:\Program Files\Flowcode 6\tools\mLoader\mLoader.exe -chip 16F887 "C:\OLDFLO~1\FLLADS~1\led test.hex"
ERROR: Can not launch process: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

C:\Program Files\Flowcode 6\tools\mLoader\mLoader.exe reported error code -1

FINISHED

Do I need to change anything in registry, to get this recognised ?

Mike.
