Using Labview to send data to PIc Micro

Using Labview to read the data being sent from Pic 16F877, 5 Analogue channels and 18 Digital which all work fine. However I cannot get the LCD display on 'Development Board Ver3' to display the data sent from Labview.
Labview program is sending the data as a string and the Flowcode program is set to read the data as a string. Is there some specific character that has to be sent for the program on PIC to recognise the data being sent?
I have used scope to check the micro RX pin and data is present on it.
