Im evaluating v6 for my company and wanted to know which RF macro would be best for simple data transmission between two 8 bit PIC chips. Data would be a couple of bytes representing pressure sensor readings. Transmission distance is short and our design uses simple OOK Modulation
Thanks for any assistance

Hello,
We support the Alpha modules from Microchip already and these are very reliable, fairly good range, low cost and will do all the byte transfer for you with proper CRC checking etc. Otherwise if you simply wish to transmit a bit rather then a byte then the RF component accommodates for this too.

Thanks for the quick reply
For simple bit transfers would the RFID component be best?

Re: Support for OOK ASK transmitters and reveivers
Hello,
RFID (Radio Frequency Identifiers) are commonly used for reading or writing RFID tags which are very close to the RFID transceiver, not for communications.
The RF ISM component is the component designed to complement the Microchip Alpha RF transceiver modules which are also used on our EB063 E-blocks. I would recommend using these in byte or packet (number of bytes) mode but bit mode is also available.
