site licence question

Post by nils »

Hello

My question is about the site licence you offer for Flowcode. As far as I understand, you are then allowed to install it on as many computers you want at e.g. in the University, if this is the licence's owner. But is it ok then to give the students, who attend a lab in microcontroller programming, a copy as well, so they can prepare the labs or play around with the simulation on their own computer?
I thought this may be of general interest at least for those working at a University and thinking about using Flowcode.

cheers,
nils

Here is the text of the licence agreement:
This license is a site license version: the Package may be used only within the Institution that has purchased this package. The Package may be used on any computer for which it is designed as long as it is run on up to a maximum of 50 computers at one time that are connected by a Local Area Network that are owned by the institution. If more than 50 simultaneous users are required then another copy of this license will need to be purchased. This license is only valid for use within an educational institution: a school, college, university, or training institution. The Package may not be used to create products that are sold.
The licence does not explicitly allow Flowcode use on a student's own computer.

If an institution wants to allow their students to also have a copy of Flowcode for their own personal use, then this can be arranged (using a special licence key). Those institutions will need to contact us for details of this scheme.

Re: site licence question

Hello,

I have a question regarding the intro to micro controller course that I downloaded.
I want to check out some of the labs, but I get a message that the labs are not available with the free version (I have a licensed ver.)
I believe I first downloaded the course before I had a licensed copy so I downloaded it again, but I get the same message.

My question is, how do I get access to the labs?

Thanks, Rob

If you have a licensed version of the Intro to Micros course, you will have a CD that contains the labs.
