I intended to use the 16F1788 microchip (and bought it already). But now I find out that is not on the flowcode list. What to do?

Jan,

As BoostC does not support this device Flowcode can not support it. Someone needs to create the files for The C compiler to support it, next Flowcode definitions can be created. I've done it in the past, as have others on the forum, and only had issues once due to a compiler bug that required fixing.

This chip family including the 16F1788 device have now been added and will be in the next update release which is due to be released soon.

They have not been tested by us but should function ok.

The files are also available on the forums if you want to get access to these chips before the update is released.

I did download the 16F1788.fcdx. I started Flowcode 6 again, but did not see the microchip in the list. Do I need also the 16F1788.h and/or .bas files?

I would have thought you require all the relevent files including map.txt within PIC16(L)F178x.rar posted a couple of posts above?

The zip file contains only the .fcdx files. All other files are for 16F1784 but not the 16F1788 (which I want to use)
