Hi,
I have been trying a few different kinds of displays for my project and would like to know if anyone here has any suggestions.
For the last couple of months I have tried regular character displays both LCD, VFD and OLED. Then I tried a graphic 140x16 VFD. But so far I have not found a suitable one.
However, I have come to the conclusion that OLED is the way to go.
Now I need a pretty big display to be able to read the information on it from across the room. So far I have found two OLED displays, both using the SSD1322 controller, both has a 256x64 resolution and are about 5.5 inches wide.
I have the datasheet for one of them. it requires a multitude of voltages, uses a 30pin ZIF connector and has no mounting holes.
The other one is mounted on a PCB like a regular old LCD module, with mounting holes, and provisions for 16 pins. It looks like it only needs one voltage to run. I have asked the seller for the datasheets for it so hopefully I will get it. This one is also much cheaper than the first one.
This is really all I have found after a few days of searching the web.
Has anyone done any work or tests on a display with the SSD1322 controller? Am I safe in assuming that since both these displays use the same controller that they both have the same functions and features, like 16 shades of gray etc?
Any ideas and or inputs from fellow board members are appreciated

Re: OLED display suggestions?
I ordered the cheaper ones. Minimum order was 2 but that's ok. I hope to use SPI since I haven't tried SPI before and it seems nice to only have to use 4 wires.
