Hi,

I have not tried a full format, What happens even when using your .wav test file is that it will play approx. 2 seconds absolutly fine then it hangs up with a hissing sound followed shortly with a sound like a stuck CD and stays like that until i reset it and it starts again then hangs up again in exactly the same spot. No i do not get the "end of file" prompt on the LCD

Try a format of the card and let us know how you get on. I will try and have a quick go here if I get 5 mins to see if I can replicate the issue.

Hi Wayne,

Right I have rigged it up using your program and it runs fine for me. I am using a 2GB SD card, compiling using v4.5 and streaming the files from the original article.

You could use a comparison tool like ExamDiff to compare my C file with yours to see if there are any major differences.
