Ver.5

Post by jgu1 »

Hi!

Is Matrix Multimedia started to develop at a flowcode5. and if, when can we expect it will be released?

It's not because I am dissatisfied with the V4, absolutely not. But it might just thought there were several options in a later version.

We have begun development of V5, but it is a long way off.

Our next newsletter will include a short questionnaire on Flowcode that will help us finalise some of the features of V5. We will also collect information in the "suggestion" part of the Flowcode forum.

Hallo Wolfgang,

Do you mean the delay when first opening Flowcode? I did have this and I found that Windows Defender was the culprit. I fixed this by going into Windows Defender's options screen and adding the Flowcode exe to the list of files that are not scanned.

We will probably offer updates to V4 before the release of V5, although I do not have anything specifically planned.

Are there specific features or bug-fixes that you require?

Hello Steve

It would be nice to get some (4 ) macro subtitution in all component ( from %w to %z ) not only for Custom component.
It would interresting for choosing parity with RS232 (with code customisation) or Address for a I2C Slave Component...

Hello Dan81,

I need Pic to Pic communication via I2C.
Just interconnecting 2 slave Pics and a DS1307 real time clock to 1 master Pic without the use of additional driver ic's.
The addressing possibility of the I2C protocol looks ideal for this.

Regards,

Eric

Hello Eric

What kind of job must your Slave Pic do?

I've made an I2C Slave component which seems OK with 16F887.
You have to declare an array (less than 255) .
When a request (from Master) is received, Slave transmits sequentially the datas (like an EEPROM),
you can choose the address of the first register that is read.

My component uses (only) the I2C harware of the Pic, no software option like Matrix I2C Master component.
You must declare the hardware I2C pins in the properties.
