Component Creation
Hi Everyone
I have completed the following tutorials for building FC7/8 components. I am still busy working on the next tutorial which should be ready soon. However, I would like some feed back to what I have done to date. The tutorials are: -
1. Creating the necessary folders to store both the completed FC8 components and the project to create them 2. How to set up FC8 Component Library 3. The tutorial - Build a Flowcode Component - Simple Flasher simulation I hope you find them useful

Re: Component Creation
Here are the files to build the simple flowcode shown above. I have had to attach the files using a compressed folder to comply with forum rules.

Re: Component Creation
Thanks Dave - looks a very useful guide - it's heading to the printer now. Beautifully laid out too!

Re: Component Creation
Hi CSM2711
You only get to see your 'USER' folder when a component has been placed into that folder. If it's empty, FC does not display it on the tool bar. If there are components in the 'USER' folder, try closing FC and restarting. It will then be displayed.

Hi Everyone
Here is the next tutorial - How to create a new Relay_5V component Here is the Relay_5V component discussed in the above tutorial: Hope you find it useful.
Not sure if it would be useful to post these in the FC7 section of the forum?

Re: Component Creation
I could move the topic to Tips and tricks, so it can cover both V7 and V8?

Re: Component Creation
Hi Everyone
Here is the next tutorial - Part 5
This tutorial explains how to construct advanced component simulation techniques that involve several shapes together that have colour transitions that can be controlled. I have chosen flashing arrows but could be adapted for much more interesting designs.
Here are the files for the above project:
