Problem with BL0011

Post by Liamcole1997 »

Hi All

Just looking for some help and some suggestions on how can fix this problem

The PIC Programmer gets detected in windows just fine, but when I try and send programs to it, nothing happens just get a press the reset button etc error,

Now when I run the program as admin it then starts to work how it should, IE the program is successfully wrote to the board. However that will require our students to input admin student and password which they won’t have.

I have tried giving all users special permissions but that doesn’t seem to have done anything.

Is there any reason why the program will only function as run as admin and if so how can I fix it?

Kind Regards
Liam

Hello Liam,
but when I try and send programs to it, nothing happens just get a press the reset button etc error,
It sounds like your project is maybe setup for the wrong target device, the BL0011 should not pop up a reset message.

Can you attach you project so we can have a look for you.

This sounds like Group Policy restrictions on the use of USB devices.
Do you have an IT department that could help with this?
What version of Windows are you running?
