Hi,
We purchased 10 EB006 Multiprogrammer boards under 3 years ago and 3 of the boards are now failing to identify the correct chip in mLoader. Has anyone experienced this before? The identified chip shows as a different code and cannot be changed. The boards have not been used excessively and seems bizarre that 3 have the same problem?
Has anyone else experienced this or know of a fix?
Thanks,
Lynsey

Hi Lynsey,
Sorry to hear you're having these problems.
When you say the chip shows a different code.
Can you say what the code is?
Is the EB006 appearing in mLoader?
Is the Prog LED on the board flashing?
Also just to double check, there is only one microcontroller inserted in the board, the correct way around etc.

Re: Incorrect Chip Identified
Sorry just getting back to this now. We have checked the boards and they all have a single microcontroller connected the correct way round. When we plug the Eb0006 boards in and load up mLoader the chip is identified as EC IO 16 device and the programming light continually flashes.
I have uploaded a screenshot of the mLoader window to this post.
Any ideas? We have about 4 boards with this problem from the 10 we purchased.
Thanks,
Lynsey

Re: Incorrect Chip Identified
Hello,
It sounds like the EB006 is in Bootloader mode. Please see this FAQ topic on how to remove this problem.
http://www.matrixtsl.com/faq/index.php? ... artlang=en
You can also try connecting the board to USB but not opening mLoader. After a few seconds the Prog LED should stop flashing. mLoader should then recognise the board as the EB006.
Let us know how you get on.
