It must have been the Flux.
The Display has been working 100% for over a week now. 24/7

Re: Connecting NHD‐0216K1Z‐NS(RGB)FBW‐REV1 Display.
Hi. Just an update on the Display. I scratched away all the flux between the soldering contacts, and since it is working all. Question can flux develov into a capacitor of even cause a short after some time of usage? I still have to wait for some time to see if the Problem is solved permanently. Bes...

Re: Interupt Settings
Hi,
This is what I did.
I use timer two.
Prescaler1:16
Postscaler1:5
Rollover value 32
At32MHz this gives a frequency of exactly 3125Hz
Then use I used counters to make seconds and minutes.
If it does not have to be so precise you can also use Timer0
I have atached the macro I used.
Best Regards:
Uli

Hi Just a short update on the display. Suddenly it started to schow numbers on and off on the first Line. Now it schows just the first line everything correct. Second line displays nothing, just the dots you see if you adjust the contrast too much a few lines of the dots are missing. Would that mean...

Hi. My LCD has been working for quite some time now. I soldered it onto the board and it was working fine for some time. But since about a week it sometimes it suddenly it goes blank. Sometimes it shows strange characters. Numbers that are not supposed to be there. One thing that happens every thime...

Re: Using PICs for other projects, EB 006
Hi I never used any e block, Always made my own hardware and programmed it with pic kit2. In the beginnign it was a bit a steep learning curve. Because I am also a beginner in making circuit boards, sometimes I did not know if it was a software or a hardware problem. I prefer to program my chips in ...

Re: Activation not working on apple computer.
Flowcode6 can definitely access the internet,
It verifies the username and password sucessfully, but activation fails.
Manual activation gives the same error message.

Re: No capactive sensing (CPS) module in FC 5
Hi Brian. I had a look at the PIC_CAL_ADC file on the latest version of flowcode, It looks like they did not fix it yet. I have a modified file that works for capacitive touch for Pic 12F1822 and Pic16F1939 I modified it for you so it should work also for yours pic 16F887 I have no pic 16F887 so I c...

Re: No capactive sensing (CPS) module in FC 5
Hi Brian.
Is your program working now in real hardware?
If not it would help if you could describe a bit more what it is doing.
And what you have on your display when pressing a pad.

Uli

Re: No capactive sensing (CPS) module in FC 5
Hi I think most of your code for selection is correct. You can check in the data sheet of the Pic under adcon, according to my understanding AN7 is 0x1D and an11 is 0x2D Do you get any results numbers on your display? Also check on page two in this thread there is a bug in flowcode 5 For my program ...

Re: No capactive sensing (CPS) module in FC 5
Hi.
For capacitive touch I would first change the code a little to display the ".return" value on your display instead of "char".
Press each key to see how the values change. Then you can decide on a threshold value.

Hi How do you change to Flowcode 4 Compatibility mode? Here are some pictures. Of the changes. The Int macro is unchanged. Re: dc motor speed controller
Hi Nuwan. I made a program for you that works. To change the speed in relation to the speed of the counter you can simply change the variable called Gate_value in the main program. At gate_value=100 The progran should give you a 90% duty cycle when you your sewing machine is running at 100 Herz. In ...

Re: dc motor speed controller
Hi Nuwan. I don't think this code will work. I can not see where your count gets reset so it will simply count on till 255 and then reset itselve. You culd make anoter interrupt that counts to a certain number and say after one second transfer cont to count2 and then set cont to 0. Then use count 2 ...

What duty cycle did you use?
If you can post your code it will be much easier to answer your question.

Re: dc motor speed controller
Hi. I think this is more a question of hardware. What kind of DC motor are you using? Normally the speed of a DC motor with brushes Is dependant on two things PWM duty cycle and how much torque it has to produce. To run dc motor at only 15 RPM is possible but depending on the load it will vary a lot...

Re: How to configure Bits for Internal Clock Frequency for 1
Hi. Do not understand fully what you mean by setting OSCCON to 111 If you look at all the bits then it would be 1110001 or something like that. Bit 7 is unimplemented=0 Bit 6-4 are oscillator speed=111 for 8 MHZ Bit 3-1 are status bits I am not sure what to do with them probably you can leave them u...

Re: No capactive sensing (CPS) module in FC 5
Hi. I f you try to simulate it in flowcode it shows some errors. uninitialised Variable: .sum uninitialised variable: .Return All variables do need to have an intial value. Somewhere you must put a formula. .sum=0 and .return=0 At the Beginning of your macro you need to set ".sum" to zero, or else y...

Hi I have tried to compile the code. It all works. But I still have a question I was thinking of making 8 different buttons and use a Pic configured as a I2C slave to read the buttons. Re: Capasitive key Pads
Hi There are several issues with your code. At the beginning of the macro you have to put "sum=0" Sot it will calculate properly. Secondly the go to command makes the code to repeat without setting the curser tho the right place for diplay so it makes your whole display to show one number. Since you...
