Re: Injectors
Injectors are used to "simulate" input data from file, device, or real COM-port. The process is called injecting. Vnet allows two open flowcode projects to work together, like if you would have a two embedded devices. The wiki has some articles about them, unfortunately the video examples seem to be...

Re: 16F18875 Timer 2
Hi Martin, Thanks for the bug fix, I'll roll it out to the family. What do you think of these chips? We are looking to use the 16F18877 device on the PIC E-block. It's slightly cheaper and also more capable and highly remappable, though we will need to add support for remappable I2C into Flowcode. ...

Modbus TCP
Today i found out that many of our devices should in future support Modbus TCP client/server... How hard would it be to implement the Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU over TCP? This could be archieved using some ethernet modules like ENC28J* or WizNet. ENC would be easier to be implemented onto a PCB. The ...

Re: Pickit3 Cannot Find Boostc
I have to confess that i just gave up and found out that it was easiest to use MPLAB IPE to program .hex onto the target when using PicKIT 3. Reason: In my case the targets were changing all time (From DsPIC to midrange, lowrange series) and the PICKIT 3 needed new FW to be downloaded to it to work ...

Hi! You can download the V5 version with your license key from this page: http://www.matrixtsl.com/flowcode_v5.php If you have problems with activation, contact Matrix staff members. I had problems with mine when i had to reinstall the old product and the automatic activation didnt work, and staff w...

Re: Can't download the program to the hardware
Reading from your post, i would firstly check out the EB006 boards power jumpers (are they on extrenal power or on USB), as the ID readed from the board is -1, that could mean its not getting power.

Re: Multiple Windows
You can copy and paste between multiple instances of Flowcode. --> multi-instance.PNG Compared to Word its different yes. word_example.PNG The trick is that you cannot open multiple instances from clicking the project files, you have to go throug start menu and start Flowcode V7 from there multiple ...

Hi! Ill move this topic to bug area at 17:00 GMT+3. I unfortunately cannot provide a solution for you... E:Actually what you say regards the pot properties. If I replace the PIC ONLY, the readings are correct (0 to 4095) but the pot is the same (10 bit depth). Youre right! My mistake  BTW: Your...

Hi and welcome to forums!
Could you attach your Flowchart so it would be easier to evaluate the problem?
EDIT: Took a look and yes, there looks to be a bug that the 12bit adc is showing to be 10bit only.

Re: Uart RX to 2 TX
Do you have 5v level shifter in between of your pic and pc serial port? It may cause unexcepted things as RS232 on old days supplied 12V level at most and many these days supply start from +9V to even +12V on some motherboards.

Hi! Could you try these files and see does it help? I put the backup files there too, if it doesnt help. Changelog: CAL\internals.c: line 71, see comment on line 70. FCD \PIC\16F505.fcdx: line 70, see comment on line 69. Flowcode will still give you a reminder about the low ram mode: C:\Program File...

Re: 1wire Devices
Yes but does the ID COME WITH IT within any supplied literature? It would be total madness that every chip coming to production line in a roll would have thousands of tiny confetti papers with them. You have to use some kind of onewire discovery algorithim to find the ID of the chip. In one card i'...

Re: What improvements would you like to see?
Matt points very good things out! 1) Lack of a GOOD help within the program for every option available - I still do not know how to FULLY use FC I agree this: The help should be provided as a html help inside the program, with optional "use online help system" to select the help source. And as a add...

Re: Do you make use of Ghost features?
I now refer the old FlowkitV1 here mostly, have not bought the V2, waiting for the V3. Personally, when at the field, serial terminal is my friend... But sometimes i wish there would be easy header to re-program the device and use Ghost to see some variables. I have Flowkit, but it just is no...

Clearly my post has disappeared!! It took more nearly an hour writing something in a manner for Frank to follow which was simpl...

Re: LDR (Light Dependent Resistor
Hi! I merged your posts as this is continuation to the old topic in context. For the PWM, as you said its a new thing to you, you could take a look at the Sparkfun tutorials, theyre bit arduino specific, but still they usually explain things pretty clearly. To use pwm with Flowcode V7 (as you stated...

Re: Connection point poll
At some points, there have been many reasons where the connection point makes life easier, like to get systems to debug mode and for checking cards etc... The easiness makes life great. Personally i would keep the connection points as availabe because the im BASIC coder and love to use it at some po...

Re: how to get a glcd work with with PIC16F1937
Hi! Can you tell us is this chip your using now the 19MHz driven 16F1937 mentioned in the header, or the 16F84A at 16MHz? This thing that the chip seems to change in the fly confuses a lot of us now as were trying to figure it out. The schematic you supplied earlier had error, which]was mentioned by...

Re: Add support for STM8S "Value Line" Micros
Would the STM8 be its own chip pack? Could be intresting, but don't see much advantage over the PIC except price... But PICs are too dirt cheap when bought in trays volume, and a fast look to my suppliers inventory prices i would stay on PIC/Atmel line. Being able to support STM8 would be a great ma...

Long numbers
Hi! Has anyone else encountered that the "long" type variables roll over well before they reach the max value of it? I've been trying to implement simple calibration to certain values (temperature), but i need to show some decimals too, and when i multiply calibration values by 10 and adc by 10 and ...
