Re: Mains fail Detector
I would think your never going to achieve your goal as mains frequency is 50 cycles per second to achieve 1 cycle that equates to 20mS. Any program will need to pass the zero crossing point which would be at 10mS as a maximum time limit. So for your 2ms you would be looking for the beginning point o...

ECIO base board question
I have just purchased a second ECIO base board and there are a couple of distinct differences between the two. 1. The old board has no (J12 - 3 pin connector) adjacent to port D. 2. My old board has a connection block across 2 pins on the icsp J2 port. but the new one does not Can you let me know wh...

FC3 and Windows 7
Having just upgraded to Windows 7 on an IMac I installed my FC3 Professional from my original disc with some really weird issues. The Win 7 op system decided not to load the OCX files. The install completed by accepting the issues and found that none of the components had loaded up. The resolution t...

Having got a little fed up with the limitations using my ECIO with Hyperlink, I have developed a standalone windows communications and monitoring program, The ECIO40 monitor is for use on a PC with the ECIO40 system and Eblocks hardware. The monitor is an event driven program to keep the flow of dat...

By the look of your serial ports on the PC it has lost the matrix multimedia driver for the com port - Nothing to do with VB2008

Re: USB with PIC 18F4455
If your PC is not seeingthe virtual com port, try installing the device driver again, My laptop sometimes crashes and need to re install the driver, this takes no more than a couple of Mins.
I use the Matrix ECIO 40 doing serious comms to VS2008 and it works like a dream.

ECIO 40 and comms
I have set up an analog port to read as int ( 0-1024). I am trying to send the hex value of any given point through the com port. The issue is when my VB2008 program reads the byte it comes back with 4 series of 0 - 255. The ECIO is outputting hex values and the conversion is done in VB. ie. turn po...

Hi beng This project I am working on is to compliment the E-Blocks hardware and the ECIO system, generally we can all see what goes on but to investigate communications and graphical representation side is far more interesting. If only I could upload a picture or two - OK how do we do that. I have s...
