Re: Pic Uc32 not compiling to chip

Hi, Well, progress is being made, Ive re-loaded the CHIPKIT files and the compiler now recognises them. Im still getting an error message (see attached) but the message is diferent and looks like there was an attempt at compiling! Any suggestion o nhow to fix the new error message? :-) Regards, Chris

Hi, Thanks for the posts and help, Ive copied the files to the relevant directories and the Boot-loader option is now in the menu :-) However Im still getting the error message on compiling to hex. (error message attached) Looking at the compiler options, Location is the same as in your (Benj) messa...

Re: Pic Uc32 not compiling to chip

What MPLAB?
The flowcode works correctly for AVR and PIC 16 targets, just not for this uC32 board. Im not changing any windows or FC settings.

Re: Pic Uc32 not compiling to chip

Hi, I have tried and retried the fixes, the short path feature was / is NOT switched off (I got my IT dept to look at / make the changes so am sure of this). Ive deleated and reinstalled FC7 as per instructions. The problem still the same with the same error code... What else can I try? Regards, Chris

Pic Uc32 not compiling to chip

Hi,
Im trying to use the chipKIT uc32. Its the first time Ive used this device. Even with a simple programme (se attached uc32 test), when trying to compile to chip I get the error message (see attached), complaining that it cant find the specified path... What am I doing wrong? :(

Arduino family expansion? DUE?

Hi, Not sure where is appropriate to post this, I was wandering if there are any plans or procedure for increasing the FC7 support for the arduino family of up's? A well used one that isn't supported (I think) is the Arduino DUE board. It is widely available (from RS components for instance) with so...

Start page

Is there any way to stop the "Start Page" being added to your project every time you open it? It is VERY annoying, especially as it always goes as first macro tab and moves the others around!

Re: Something funny going on...

Hi,
Thanks for your idea, it isn't the reading of the POT that appears to be the problem, the pot is read in manual mode and this works fine, the problem seems to be that the PWM doesn't set to the value read from CAN in auto mode.

Chris

Something funny going on...

Hi, In the attached programme; there are two modes, manual and Auto. In manual, the nano reads in a pot value and sends out a PWM signal with duty cycle set to the pot value. This works fine and I get a fully controlled PWM output. In Auto, the nano receives a CAN message, checks the right id, and t...

Programming an OLED colour display

Hi, Sorry if this is covered else where or is just "obvious", I want to programme / drive an OLED colour display using Arduino Nano, probably control via SPI. Which (if any) of the FC7 display macro options do you recommend I use? Does anyone know if more OLED component macros are intended to be pro...

RS232 eblock unexpected charactors?

Hi, In FC7, Im using the eblocks CAN and RS232 modules to make a translator for communication between two pieces of kit (see HiUCV FC 7 file attached). The programme works BUT the RS232 messages outputted from the eblock have extra characters attached (see Screenshot), the extra characters being !<S...

Problems with CAN FC7

Hi, Im having problems getting CAN to work with FC7. Ive reduced things down to a very basic circuit using a PIC16F1937 on a EB006 (with Ghost) and an EB CAN board connected to port C. Im using an EB led board connected to port A . See attached programme. The circuit simulates fine. But the hardware...

Arduino MEGA CAN Coms

Hi,
Im trying to use CAN comms with the Arduino MEGA, BUT the CAN options in the properties list only allow for 20 or 8 MHz, the Mega is 16, is there another way of configuring this? Can you send me a fix to include 16 MHz or (even better) make it a user set-able value?

Seting Arduino pull up / down resisters

Hi,
I understand that the internal arduino pull up (down) resisters can be set by adding a few lines of C code, but cant find the relevant C code, could someone please give an explanation or examples of how to set them please? :D

Re: Arduino Nano and CAN coms (2)

Hi LeighM, Im using a commercially available CAN module for the arduino Nano as it is to go into a product and is physically smaller. Im sure you have identified the problem as the oscillator on the module is 8Mhz rather than 20. As the Arduino CAN modules are very common and all seem to have the 8M...

Re: Arduino Nano and CAN coms (2)

Hi Benj, Thanks if you could ask, Im increasingly sure this is a bug rather than me doing something wrong, the CAN message id and data that is sent by the hardware is correct but the data rate (read directly from the hardware with resistor termination) is non-standard as I stated. Because the messag...
