Re: Building Components - Step by Step Guide
Hi Everyone. Just to add some interest. The RS232 port could be an important component to master, as I am currently working on the RC2014 Z80. Well, not relevant to Flowcode you might say. What I have found is a very cheap way to make a graphics card for approximately £5 using a Raspberry Pi Zero an...

Re: Bad mistake in FC8!
Hi Everyone. Hope you don't mind me butting in. However, I too have just completed a 'clean build' of Windows 10 pro 1903. OS build 18362.365 There is a notable difference as to how OneDrive functions. All desktop icons are affected too. During the new install, Windows appears to use a system snap-s...

Re: Flowcode - FCD #C Help
Hi Everyone I just want to share this with you. I have been trying to get to grips with FC7 & 8 C code environment. I have discovered that, by simply clicking onto and dragging the variable across into the C icon space creates the correct syntax. And it compiles correctly too. FC7 C code generation....

Re: Flowcode - FCD #C Help
Hi Everyone I have been looking for some detailed information as to how to build a communication protocol to send/receive data to/from ink cartridges. The protocol is, as I have now concluded is more aligned to the SPI than I2C protocol, as there are no ack bits in the data collected from the cartri...

Re: Flowcode - FCD #C Help
Hi Ben Thank for the info and book, it's very much appreciated. I have seen the header files you mention with the Microchip MPLAB files, but I am unable to locate these files within FC. However, I like the suggestion you have provided on how to change individual register bits, this is exactly what I...

Flowcode - FCD #C Help
Hi Everyone. I would like to know, if someone could point me the right direction to find the information/help that I need for this project I am working on. Maybe a book I need to read or Wiki page to look at, to give me the following information: - How to incorporate chip specific code to change PIC...

Re: Zero Crossing
Hi Everyone Hope you do not mind me joining your conversation. I have a circuit here that I used for a PID controller. It comprises a H11A1M zero detect chip that turns on only at the zero-crossing point via T1. However, this needs some extra control to produce something that fits a PIC controller. ...

Re: Serial EEPROM 24C16 on PIC18F2455
Hi Leigh I have done some further testing and found the following using software option: - clock signal (SCL) present - YES - Output data (SDA) for address etc present - YES Both of these are only true when using 'PULL-UP' resistor. So, according to Microchip 'Pull-Up' resistor are only necessary wh...

Serial EEPROM 24C16 on PIC18F2455
Hi Everyone I have had a look around the forum to see why there is no hardware option problem listed for this device. I am using a PIC18F2455 with a I2C EEPROM attached to the hardware port - SCL - B1; SDA - B0. Serial EEPROM 24C16 Properties.jpg However, there is no macro available to init. the har...

Re: UART Component - Display error
Hi Martin
Thank you for your suggestion. However, the 'Table Top' slider is all the way to the left as you have indicated (3D View), therefore I am unable to adjust the component size. I was working using the 2D view which does not have that option.

Re: Component Creation
Hi CSM2711
You only get to see your 'USER' folder when a component has been placed into that folder. If it's empty, FC does not display it on the tool bar. If there are components in the 'USER' folder, try closing FC and restarting. It will then be displayed.

Re: Component Variable ICON list
Hi chipfryer27 Thank you for your replay, it's very much appreciated. The process you describe is what we all do, but I am trying to avoid that method. The reason is, when someone is trying to decide a strategy for dealing with a variable that e.g. contains information regarding colour: - blue; gree...
