distance sensors VMA337 and HC-SR04
Hi friends About 1.5 years ago I got a hart-stinstand and I lost a lot of knowledge in general and special in the filed of electronics. Now I try to start again with two distance sensors: 1. the IR sensor VMA337 of Veleman https://www.velleman.eu/downloads/29/vma337_a4v01.pdf ] 2. the utrasone senso...

Change directory date
At about the same time of my hart attach, my computer crashed. My children installed a new computer, but I find that all main directories have the same date of January 18, 2020, while the files have all earlier/older dates. I created new directories with different, older dates under Windows 10. So f...

Dear all Near Christmas last year I got a hart attach. I was lucky that my wife saw it happened and she took directly action. My neighbour was reanimate me within minutes. Nice to know about gLCD_SSD1306_i2c1
I made a program with a gLCD and a LCD(16x2). In the Flowcode the gLCD has been initialised first followed by the LCD. I programmed one microchip (16LF18857) and tried it out on 2 different PCB board and one breadboard with amazing results. On board the "Hello world" on the LCD screen was shown dire...

Re: ICSP cable length
Hi Martin
I tried the 4k7 resistance, but no better results, or even worse results.
Can it be the voltage level of Vpp?
Kind regards

ICSP cable length
I use the PIC multiprogrammer BL0080 in connection with the PIC16(L)F188857 microchip. The microchip is situated on another PCB board. To program the chip, I use an ICSP cable, but not always with success. Remark: There are no external components connected to B6 or B7 (ICSP data and Clock line) I st...

Re: I2C GLCD start problem
I tried to get understanding the results shown on the gLCD: Reality.jpg It seems like the gLCD is not 64x128, but 32x128 I did also a simulation in Flowcode which resulted in: Simulation.jpg This looks more as expected for a 64x128 gLCD. Or is there something else what can explain the first picture?...

Re: I2C GLCD start problem
The RAM error has been disappeared using the 16LF18857 microchip. But now I met an other problem. The address is 0x3C ( https://www.okaphone.com/artikel.asp?id=484012 ) while the flowcode has only the choices between 0x78 and 0x7A. Does someone has a solution for this problem? Re: C CODE TO FC8 CONVERSION
Hi SILVESTROS9 Life would be easy if you could import such C-code directly into Flowcode. As far as I see, the c-code itself will not be the biggest problem. But this c-code uses libraries on line 63-66: #include "msp430f5132.h" #include "hal_tlv.h" #include<string.h> #include<stdio.h> with unknow c...

To connect my own PCB's to the EBlock2 programmer board BL0080, I would suggest an adapter from the 16 pins connector to a 15 pins SUB-D. In the 16 pins connector, there are 2 pins with GND. One of them can be deleted in de sub-D 15p. I konw there is alreday an adpter to SUB-D 9 pins, but there the ...

Building string in one or more steps
I wanted a string which is the sum of 4 other strings. First I did it in one step like STRING = str1+ str2+str3+str4 (1) This works in simulation, but gave the wrong result in practice with the microchip. Buiding the string step by step results in the correct string. Like STRING= str1 STRING= STRING...

Hi Martin,
I used more microchips 16F18857. That can not be the reason. The config word is shown below. I use the same config word for programming the microchip on the programming board BL0080 and by means of ICSP. It is still a puzzle for me. Kind regards

Re: How to send GSM international phone code?
Can someone help me with the problem of the error code 255 if a SMS has sent correctly?
I have the feeling that the return code is always 255, independent if the SMS has been sent correctly or not.
Kind regards
