E-blocks Prototyping Boards

<^< Prototype Board | Course Index | Stripboard >^>

The E-blocks system has two boards designed to aid prototyping circuits. A prototype block board (EB016), and a patch board (EB017). The two boards can be connected direct to a programmer board, or to any other E-blocks boards directly, or via E-block connectors.

Both boards allow you to build and test circuitry whilst maintaining the ease of programming of the E-blocks programmers.

In addition other E-blocks boards can be used as well, such as LED, switch, 7 segment and LCD boards, allowing you to develop and test your design without needing to build these extra components.

For many projects you can start the development of a system using E-blocks and a prototype board. This will allow you to develop a fully functional prototype. In the E-blocks datasheets you will find all of the circuit diagrams for each E-block board. You can use these to help you to assemble a circuit diagram of the system, and from there develop a standalone solution. This photograph shows a volume control system based on E-blocks and a SPI volume control chip on a prototype board.
